This article explores advancements in wide-bandgap (WBG) perovskite solar cells, particularly focusing on how homogeneous halogen-phase distribution improves their efficiency. Researchers developed a double-layer structure (D-2P) to regulate perovskite crystallization, achieving uniform halogen distribution and better carrier extraction. This reduces energy losses, resulting in a record power conversion efficiency of 20.80% for WBG perovskite cells. These improvements could enhance the performance of tandem solar cells used in high-efficiency applications.
