This article describes the development of a hydrogen-bonded supramolecular network that triggers high-efficiency blue room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP). Researchers discovered that 4,4’,4’'-nitrilotribenzoic acid (TPA-CO2H) exhibited efficient blue RTP when embedded in hydrogen-bond-rich matrices, such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), boric acid, sugar, gelatin, and paper. This innovation enables long-lasting afterglow applications, including anti-counterfeiting and information encryption. The findings highlight how hydrogen bonding can activate RTP in organic compounds, with broad potential applications in various fields.
