Webinar Title: "Modeling Nanomaterials for CO2 Conversion: Importance of First-Principles Simulations"

Presenter: Dr. Abhishek Kumar Mishra (UPES, Dehradun and University of Kassel, Germany)

There is currently a huge surge in research related to development of materials for energy and environmental applications. In this talk, Dr. Mishra will in particular cover the issue of modeling nano-materials for CO2 capture and conversion on metal oxide-based catalytic surfaces. He will be first discussing the role of the Hubbard U parameter inclusion in DFT modeling, as well as the basics about polar and non-polar surfaces modeling. The talk will also cover the markers to identify the CO2 activation, and discussion will be based on a case study to explain the NEB calculations towards identifying the reaction pathways for CO2 conversion into fuels and chemicals.

The webinar will be held according to the following international schedules:

Thu, Apr 4, 2024, 04:00 ~ 05:00 | Los Angeles (PDT)

Thu, Apr 4, 2024, 07:00 ~ 08:00 | New York (EDT)

Thu, Apr 4, 2024, 13:00 ~ 14:00 | Paris (CEST)

Thu, Apr 4, 2024, 14:00 ~ 15:00 | Riyadh (KSA)

Thu, Apr 4, 2024, 16:30 ~ 17:30 | New Delhi (IST)

Thu, Apr 4, 2024, 20:00 ~ 21:00 | Seoul (KST)

As always, registration for Materials Square webinars is completely FREE.

We look forward to welcoming you virtually! Many thanks for your interest and your consideration,
